    Body

Muscle relaxation, enhancing blood flow to targeted areas, lymphatic drainage, may assist in reducing swelling and supporting the body’s natural detoxification processes.

    Breasts

Gentle techniques on (avoiding the nipples) and around the breasts may help with lymphatic drainage and circulation in the area, potentially promoting breast health. • Face

Apply a facial oil or serum to reduce friction and glide smoothly across the skin. Hold the gua sha at a 15-45 degree angle against your skin, maintaining a gentle but firm pressure, avoid pressing too hard. Begin at the neck, moving upwards and from the center of the face outwards. Use the tool’s various edges to reach different areas of the face. Repeat each stroke 5-10 times.

The key is gentle and consistent practice to experience the full benefits of gua sha. Rinse your tool before and after every use under running water.

    Body

Apply a generous amount of oil or lotion to the area you’ll be treating to glide smoothly and avoid friction. Hold the gua sha at a comfortable angle of 45 degrees to the skin. Apply gentle pressure as you scrape across the skin. Starting with light pressure and gradually increasing if it feels comfortable. Avoid excessive pressure. Use long, sweeping strokes in one direction, usually moving upwards or towards the heart. Drink water after to stay hydrated and to help the body to release toxins, as this may support the body’s natural detoxification process. Rinse your tool before and after every use under running water.

    Breast

It’s important to approach this area with extra care and gentleness. Apply a small amount of oil or lotion to allow smooth movements. Cup your breast with one hand to provide support while using the gua sha with the other hand. Start from the outer areas of the breasts and move inwards towards the center, following the natural curve. Avoid the nipple area.

Working with gentle strokes towards the armpit area can be beneficial. This region contains lymph nodes, often holding tension, making it sensitive. Giving this area some extra tension helps address lymphatic drainage.

Chilling your tool in the refrigerator or dipping it in cold water helps reduce inflammation, refreshes and tones the skin.

For a soothing experience, to loosen tight muscles, or relax before sleep, warm your tool by placing it in warm water for a few minutes.

  • Using it on irritated or broken skin, no massage until 48 hours after botox or fillers, varicose veins and over areas of recent trauma.
